Thank God you're here. We've been sitting in traffic waiting for you.

Harley Sardine was supposed to join us, but congestion has gotten so bad he couldn't weave his motorcycle through it. Last report had him trapped somewhere between a left-turn lane expansion and a traffic study proving there wasn't any traffic. His lungs were full of exhaust, his gas tank was empty, and the available room to maneuver had been reduced from 'motorcycle' to 'strong suggestion.'

Meanwhile, the Mackerels are doing just fine.

One is relaxing on a beach somewhere... not here.

One is admiring the Arizona desert—and loving the amenities.

Another is enjoying the view from thirty stories up. Looks like he's putting oil in the chainsaw.

We're still looking for others.

And the Sardines are still sitting at the fourth red light, wondering how they became extras in somebody else's master plan.

While the Mackerels are busy making plans, the Sardines are asking practical questions... How is everybody supposed to evacuate when the next hurricane comes calling?

Welcome to Life of a Sardine™—a look into YOUR life, YOUR community, and the fascinating journey from 'small-town charm' to 'Where did all these people come from?'

Every Sunday, we'll bring you a new cartoon, a new story, a new mystery, and a few laughs. Because if you're going to spend forty-five minutes driving three miles, you might as well laugh while you're doing it.

We'll explore urbanization, growth, traffic, flooding, infrastructure, wildlife, public records, conservation, and all the other exciting things that somehow show up right after somebody says, 'Trust us... it'll be great.'

Most importantly, you'll discover you're not alone.

Find Your School. (That's a fish joke.) A school is a group of fish traveling together for protection, survival, and occasionally to avoid becoming lunch. Turns out... it works for people too.

Meet the extraordinary Sardines already making waves in their communities. Learn from them. Laugh with them. Support them. Share what you learn.

Because if we're all headed to Sardineville... we at least deserve to know who's driving the bus.
